Enabling 2-factor authentication is adding an extra layer of security to your account ensuring no one, even if knowing your password, can access it.
We are still in the process of rolling out SMS 2FA, so not everyone has access yet. (All users are able to set 2FA using an authenticator app).
Enable 2-factor authentication using your verified phone number:
1 - Tap on the right bottom
2 - Tap Settings
3 - Tap Security
4 - Tap on the blue banner "set up SMS 2-factor authentication"
5 - Confirm the number where you will be receiving the verification code then tap "Continue" (click here if you need to change your number first)
6 - Insert the verification code sent by text message to confirm the 2-factor authentication activation

Uphold takes account security very seriously and therefore requires 2-factor authentication to be activated. You can enable 2-factor authentication (2FA) with an authenticator app as well.
If you previously set up Authy, you can reconfigure your account with the new 2-factor authentication at any time in your account settings (under “Security”).
