- Verify the authenticity of the request: Always confirm the identity of the person who is contacting you.
- Do not act impulsively: Scammers often try to create a sense of urgency to get you to act quickly. Take your time to assess the situation. Do not rush into completing a transaction or providing your password or verification code to the person who is contacting you.
- Use Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Enable two-factor authentication for your Uphold account to add an extra layer of security. Remember, never provide your verification code to anyone!
- Report the suspicious activity: If you suspect that the request is fraudulent, do not comply with it and immediately report it to us!
