Why can't I withdraw my recent deposit?
When you deposit funds from a linked US bank account, security and processing periods can temporarily restrict withdrawals. These restrictions protect your account and the platform.
There are two reasons a recent deposit may not be available for immediate withdrawal:
- Settlement Period: Funds deposited via ACH (the standard network used for linked bank transfers) must fully settle with your bank before they can be withdrawn. This typically takes up to 5 business days.
- 65-Day Cooling-Off Period: If your bank account wasn't linked through Plaid (the service used to securely link your bank account), or if the Plaid connection was lost, a 65-day withdrawal restriction may apply. You can still withdraw to the original bank account once the funds have settled, just not to other destinations.
