- 31st August - Uphold announces support for the EVRS airdrop.
Evernode has been designed to bring smart contracts to the XRP Ledger (XRPL).
As a sidechain to the XRPL, Evernode is intended to allow decentralized applications to scale more efficiently with the XRPL by combining Evernodes’ ‘HotPocket’ protocol with the ‘Hooks’ amendment.
EVRS is the network’s native currency, and is set to be airdropped to XRP holders at a future date.
EVRS token utility: EVRS is used to reward nodes for participating in the Evernode network. EVRS will be distributed via the XRP Ledger Hook.
Evernode has four main components:
- Consensus Protocol
- Native Currency (EVRS)
- Evernode Hook
- DEX
Simply hold XRP in your Uphold wallet at the time of the snapshot.
1st September 2023 at 6.00pm AEST (8:00am UTC).
EVRS will be airdropped at a to-be-determined ratio against up to a maximum of 50,000 XRP held.
E.g. A user holding 60,000 XRP at the time of the snapshot will be airdropped the same number of EVRS tokens as a user holding 50,000 XRP at the time of the snapshot.
This measure was implemented to ensure a fair and equal distribution.
