If you want to use Uphold for your business, you need to apply for a business account. In addition to the numerous benefits available to Uphold members, your business account will have higher transaction limits and you’ll be able to link your company's bank account to add and withdraw funds.

How do I apply for an Uphold business account
We aim to make opening a business account simple, with support available every step of the way. To prepare, please review our guide to ensure you have all the necessary information and documents ready.
Before you begin:
- You must use an email address that is not linked to an existing personal Uphold account.
- You can use the same phone number for both a personal and a business account.
- The business portal is accessible via desktop or laptop only (mobile devices and tablets are not supported).
How to open your account:
- Go to the sign-up page on a desktop or laptop, select the Business Account tab, and enter your details.
- Log in to your new account and click the top banner to complete the application form.
What happens after I submit my application?
Once an application is submitted, our team will reach out if anything more is needed. There is no action for you to take while it is under review.
Here is what to expect next:
- You will receive a message stating that your application has been submitted successfully.
- If we need additional information, we'll reach out to you by email.
- If your application has been approved, you will receive an email with the approval notice.
- This initial review usually takes a few business days. Please keep an eye on your inbox for an email from uphold@cases.withpersona.com, and check your Spam or Junk folder if you do not see it.
Set up 2FA in the Enterprise Portal:
- On your phone, open an authenticator app. Both Google Authenticator and Authy are supported.
- Using the authenticator app, scan the QR code that appears on your computer screen.
- After scanning, click the green "Already Set Up" button on your computer screen.
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by the authenticator app into the Portal and submit.
