Yes, please visit Uphold Fees & Limits for more information.
How long does it take for the funds to appear in my bank account?
When Autodeposit is enabled, Interac withdrawals are usually completed within minutes, but in some cases, it may take up to 24 hours.
I don’t use Autodeposit. How do I complete the withdrawal?
You’ll need to manually validate the transaction. Follow these steps:
- Check your inbox for emails from Uphold and Interac. (If you use different email addresses for Uphold and your bank, one email will be sent to each address.)
- Find the 6-digit code in the email from the sender.
- Open the unique link in the email from the recipient. This will redirect you to your banking institution.
- Log in to your bank and enter the 6-digit code when prompted to complete the withdrawal.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: The recipient must confirm/accept the transaction within 7 days, or the funds will be returned.
Why did my withdrawal fail?
Withdrawals via Interac e-Transfer can fail for a few reasons. Some of the most common are:
- The 7-day timeframe expired.
- Your bank isn't enrolled in Interac.
- The email you used isn’t linked to a bank account (possibly incorrect or outdated).
- The transaction was declined by your bank.
- You need to complete the manual deposit steps (if Autodeposit is off).
Don’t worry - if the withdrawal fails, the funds are automatically returned to your Uphold account.
