Send cash or crypto to friends

Everything’s better with friends — and with Uphold, it’s easy to connect. You can invite friends and family to join the platform and seamlessly send or receive funds once they’re on board. Just make sure all accounts involved are verified and in good standing to ensure smooth, secure transactions. Here’s everything you need to know to get started.

Adding and deleting contacts

When you send funds, you can select to add your friends to your Uphold contacts list. Here’s how:

Import all your contacts:

1. Tap Send on the Home page, then tap Email.
2. Select Import contacts, then allow access to the contacts saved on your device.
3. The app will check your email contacts and add them to the list.

Add a new contact:

1. Tap Send on the Home page, then tap Send funds.
2. Select Send to a new contact and insert your friend’s email.
3. Make sure Save contact is selected, then hit Continue. Your friend will then be added to your Uphold contacts list.

Delete a contact:

1. Tap Send on the Home page, then tap Send funds.
2. Scroll down to the Uphold Contacts list.
3. Next to the contact you want to delete, tap the More options (...) button.
4. Select Remove contact.
