Keeping your Uphold Debit Card safe is a top priority. Here’s what to do if it’s lost, stolen, or used without your permission.
Card was lost or stolen
You can quickly report and cancel your card in the Uphold app:
- Open the app.
- Tap the card tile to access your card.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Report card as lost or stolen.
- Follow the prompts to cancel your card.
You can instantly activate a new virtual card once it’s cancelled.
If you’ve lost access to the app, contact us and we’ll help you.
Unrecognized transactions
If you spot a transaction you don’t recognize, you can freeze your card in the app to stop further use:
- Tap the card tile to access your card.
- Select Freeze.
We’ll notify you if someone tries to use your card.
When you’re ready to unfreeze it, you’ll be asked to confirm with your 2FA verification code.
