Why has Uphold stopped providing services to customers in Brazil?
Brazil introduced new authorisation requirements for crypto service providers. In response to these changes, we decided to stop providing Uphold services to customers in Brazil.
What do I need to do?
Customers with a remaining balance should sign in to their Uphold account and withdraw their funds.
The deadline to withdraw before conversion to USDC and account restrictions is 30 November, 2026. After that deadline, only crypto withdrawals will remain available, and your account may be closed at a later date.
How can I withdraw my funds?
Before 30 November, 2026, you can use the withdrawal methods available in your account, including withdrawals to a linked payment method or transfers of supported crypto to an external wallet.
After 30 November, 2026, remaining holdings are converted to USDC at the prevailing market rate, and only crypto withdrawals are available while your account remains open. Your account may be closed at a later date.
What has happened to my staked assets?
Staking and rewards have been disabled. Any staked assets or rewards due will be credited to your account by 6 November.
What happens to any rewards due?
Rewards have been disabled. Any outstanding rewards are scheduled to be credited to your account by 6 November 2026. Please check your account and withdraw any rewards credited.
What happens to holdings remaining after the deadline?
Any holdings remaining after 30 November, 2026 are converted to USDC at the prevailing market rate.
Accounts are then restricted to crypto withdrawals only. Deposits, trading and withdrawals to linked payment methods are no longer available. Accounts may also be closed at a later date.
Can I keep my existing assets instead of having them converted to USDC?
To retain your existing crypto assets, you must transfer them to an external wallet before 30 November, 2026, where supported. Any holdings remaining after that deadline are subject to conversion to USDC.
Can I withdraw after the deadline?
Please withdraw your funds before 30 November, 2026, as your account may be closed at a later date.
After the deadline, any remaining holdings are converted to USDC. You can withdraw that USDC to an external wallet only while your account remains open. Withdrawals to linked payment methods are no longer available.
What if I’ve already withdrawn my full balance?
If your balance is zero and you have received and withdrawn any rewards due, you don’t need to take any further action.
If you are awaiting rewards, check your account after 6 November 2026 and withdraw any amount credited.
What if my account is restricted or I can’t sign in?

Will Uphold offer services to customers in Brazil again?
