Learn how to update and manage your account information, including personal details and contact information.
Important Notice: Please do not create a new ticket if you already have one. Follow up on your existing ticket for assistance. Creating multiple tickets for the same issue can cause delays and confusion.
Uphold is obliged to uphold accurate account information to meet its regulatory requirements. Up to date information also ensures you receive important notifications.
Updating your email address is important for ensuring seamless communication and access to your Uphold account.
There are various reasons why you may need to update your email address, such as if you no longer have access to your current email, your email is linked to a company that you're no longer affiliated with, or you simply want to use a different email for security reasons.
- Tap Menu > Settings > Profile.
- Go to Email, then tap the edit icon to update your email.
- Follow the steps on screen and you’re done!
Important note: If you can’t log in to your Uphold account, click here. If you've lost access to your Uphold account email, contact us from your new email for an update.
You can update your phone number directly in the app (v6.32 or later) as long as you are logged into your account and using a mobile device:
- Tap (::) > Settings > Profile.
- Go to Phone number, then tap the edit icon* to update your phone number.
- Follow the steps on screen to verify your phone and you’re done!
*If you don’t see the edit icon next to your phone number but have access to your account credentials, simply sign out and log back in.
Then, follow the steps again—you should now see the option to update your number.
- Tap Menu > Settings > Profile.
- Go to Address, then tap the edit icon to update your address.
- Follow the steps on screen and you’re done!
