Managing your Instant Credit
You have full control over how and when you pay back your credit. Whether you’re making a daily purchase or managing a specific loan, you choose the method that works best for you.
How to make a payment
- Open the Instant Credit section.
- Tap the Payments tab.
- Tap Repay at the top, or select a specific payment from the "Upcoming" list.
To view past credit payments, scroll to the Activity widget at the bottom of the page, or tap View All to see the full payment history.
Timing your payments
You must complete payments by the designated due date to avoid penalty fees. Missing the payment due date results in a late fee.
- US bank account (ACH) deposits take a few days to clear.
- You cannot use pending bank funds to pay off your credit.
- If only some of your money is pending, you can still use any other available funds in your wallet.
- You can add more funds using a different method to complete your payment instantly.
Choose your payment plan
Exa Card
- Open the Instant Credit tile.
- Tap the Credit card tab.
- Tap Change next to the card payment plan widget.
- Select a payment timeframe on the "Choose your payment plan" screen, which provides options ranging from paying in full up to paying in 8 installments.
This sets your default plan for future Exa Card purchases. It doesn't change the plan on a purchase you've already made. If a past purchase is set to 4 installments, it stays at 4 installments; you can't switch it to 6 partway through. Follow the steps above whenever you want to change the plan that applies to your next purchase.
Borrow
Borrow loans work differently from Exa Card purchases: each loan has its own fixed term and due date, set when you take out the loan, and is repaid as a single payment, not in installments. If you aren't ready to pay, you can defer that payment to a later date.
How to Defer a payment
If you aren't ready to pay, you can defer your first upcoming payment to a later date.
- Tap Defer.
- Choose a new date for the credit payment.
- Tap Continue.
- Review the new payment amount and interest rate.
- Tap Confirm Defer to finish the deferral process.
